If you would like to order more than one test kit, please submit this form for each person individually.
After filling out and submitting the data, you will receive payment details and instructions on the delivery of the “Dry blood drop” kit to the email address provided.
You will also receive the instructions for blood sampling along with the test kit. Upon application of the blood on the transportation paper card, dry it well. Well-dried blood can be stored for any period at room temperature. Contact your local post office or a courier service of your choice and send the test card back to the laboratory (the address will be provided along with the test kit and the instructions).
Please note that the”Dry blood drop” transportation method is only suitable for blood!
Sample collection and transportation via the “Dry blood drop” method.
The kit includes:
- Cellophane bag
- Two automatic safety lancets
- Two alcohol wipes
- Card with a test strip
Step-by-step instruction on how to use the kit to obtain your blood sample:
- Take out the contents of the plastic bag and keep it handy on a table in front of you.
- Wipe your ring finger tip (pad) thoroughly with the provided alcohol wipe to disinfect the area.
- Keep the sample card close by.
- Remove the protecting cap from the tip of the safety lancet. The disposable automatic safety lancet makes the procedure of blood draw almost painless: no unpleasant sensations, burning or pain.
- Press the safety lancet with its needle opening tip against the side of the ring finger tip (pad), previously treated with an alcohol wipe from the kit (step 2 above), and press the button at the top of the lancet once. Attention! You can make only one puncture, because the needle will be automatically retracted and locked.
- Take the test strip card. Massaging your finger from the base to the pad, take out a drop of blood and insert the end of the capillary strip (where the arrow is pointing) into it at an angle of 45 degrees. To take the amount of blood required for the sample, soak the capillary strip up to the level of 4-5 marks, continuing to massage the finger if necessary. Do not spread the blood over the strip with the finger! Let the capillary effect do its job.
7. Place the card on a side in a quiet place and dry it at room temperature for 2 hours.
8. Fold the card, fill in your name, age, and contact information on it, put the card into the cellophane bag and seal it tightly. The card is ready to be sent to the laboratory.
